Shouldn't the government implement GAY restrooms?

Isn't the whole purpose of having men and women's restrooms to keep the es seperated so that they can be somewhat comfortable while they perform their bodily functions? So why wouldn't the government be interested in protecting everyone's comfort by requiring restrooms for gays?
