APPLE iBOOK 4G (LAPTOP) AND ITS SOFTWARE?

Hello everyone, I am looking for a laptop and have been looking at Dells, Compaqs, Toshiba and etc. But i just bumped into the apple ibook 4g and i like everything about it ....BUT! I know nothing apple and here i the thing....I have a blackberry storm 2 cellphone that i connect to my desktop and surf the web...and its a dell computer by the way. Anyway, can i download my verizon software to the ibook laptop to use my blackberry like i do on my dell desktop. Reason i am asking thisis because i heard that apple have like there own softwares from the other companys and blah blah blah....the more info the better. Points will go to the best detailed. Thanks
