I want to name my daughter "Melody" only is this standing in the way?

my mother is called Melanie and she wanted me to use her name as a middle name people call her mel and i think if my daughter was called Melody she would be called mel for short so i thought about using my mums middle name Louise ... Melody Louise. Do you think it would be a little weird ??
