Why cant girls the ones to ask a guy out?

Why do guys have to do all the freakin work? Girls are always trying to be so independent and stronger and all that so why cant they ask a dude out instead of the guy always having to ask a girl out and a guy always haveing to make all the effort? its a pain in the *** for us dude!! geez us!! lol
